TWFF Outreach

TWFF is committed to raising funds to support several worthy organizations, including Casting for Recovery® (CFR®), a national support and educational program that provides retreats at no cost to women who have or have had breast cancer.

Each year, TWFF raises funds to underwrite the cost for women to attend the Texas retreats. Additionally, our club members serve at the retreats as Volunteer River Helpers and Volunteer Casting Instructors.

In 2008, club member Susan Dymond created and published Mullet Mixer Magic, TWFF's first cookbook. Sales of this cookbook benefitted Casting for Recovery.

Angler's Onion Dip

This is so quick and delicious...and the ingredients are so easy to find on a trip to the mixer.

Ingredients:

1 cup diced sweet onion

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup Hellmann's® Real Mayonnaise (NOT Miracle Whip)

In a round glass pie dish or square glass baking dish, mix all ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees until the top is bubbly and brown.

Serve with crisp water crackers.

Transport: This is best assembled and baked just before serving. Find a cabin with an oven rather than a microwave.

Serve: One spreader and you are set!
